HHO Consulting Engineers have been appointed by Red Rocket South Africa (Pty) Ltd to perform the role of contracted Owners Engineers for the duration of the construction of the Brandvalley and Rietkloof Wind farms. This includes roads, crane hardstands, turbine foundations, storm water system, and O&M building.
Rietkloof Wind Farm is a renewable energy project that was awarded in Bid Window 5 of South Africa’s Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Procurement Programme (REIPPPP). The site is located to the west of the R354 between Matjiesfontein and Sutherland and approximately 20km north of Matjiesfontein. The existing Roggeveld Wind Farm lies to the north of the site and future access to the site will be along the existing access road to Roggeveld Wind Farm. The project has a potential installed capacity of 144MW, with thirty-two (32) Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs) to be constructed on the approximately 4500 hectare site.
